Litany for Mister President: Sweeps Short Film Awards at World Premiere
A long road it has been for this strange little film about a cat. Started in the Summer of 2018 then the journey 25 hours from Los Angeles to Stillwater, Oklahoma to finally arrive in front of its first audience on March 7th, 2020 for its World Premiere at the Red Dirt International Film Festival.
Nerves will always been part of Litany for Mister President’s first showing to an audience. An audience who doesn’t know you or your film but when that image flashes on screen their face will say it all. Are they engaged? Are they uncomfortable? Will they laugh at the right moments? Will it be something that surprises them?
It ended up being more than one could imagine. The audience was thrilled and delighted to find the twist and turns then the next big surprised happened. At the end of the RDIFF, Litany for Mister President was awarded Best Short Film, Best Lead Actor in a Short Film, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Director. A full sweep in the shorts category.
A long road to thrill an audience and the beginning of a special run for Litany for Mister President.
